LAST TIME OUT - November 29, 2023 - Navy 67, VMI 47 - Annapolis, Md.
Despite a career and game-high 21 points from freshman guard Koree Cotton, the VMI men's basketball team fell 67-47 at Navy Wednesday night in non-conference action.
Cotton has reached double figures in the last seven games and surpassed his previous collegiate best of 18 points set Saturday against Clarks Summit University. He also tied a career high with four three pointers.
The game was tied 5-5 after a three pointer from VMI's Brennan Watkins at 16:35 of the first half, but the Midshipmen went on a 19-4 run over the next 10 minutes to go ahead 24-9. Navy led 31-20 at the half, and Watkins had 11 points over the game's first 20 minutes.

LAST TIME vs. NAVY - Nov. 29, 2022 - Presbyterian 72, VMI 57 - Clinton, S.C.
After rallying to pull within five points at the half, the VMI basketball team went cold for the first eight minutes of the second half as host Presbyterian College pulled away for a 72-57 win over the Keydets on Nov. 29, 2022, at the Templeton Center in Clinton, South Carolina.
VMI (2-6, 0-0) trailed by double digits in the opening half but stuck together to keep the game close, going into the break trailing by a slim 42-37 margin. Presbyterian (2-6, 0-0) took advantage of VMI's slow start in the second stanza to build an eventual 20-point lead with 8:10 to play.
