VMI Rifle narrowly falls to No. 20 UAB

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Rifle program took No. 20 UAB to the wire on Saturday, ultimately falling to the Blazers, who would take the contest with an aggregate score of 4586.

They Keydets posted a strong 4559, with the women's squad shooting a 4460.

VMI had five of the top 10 individual scores, including Christopher Hicks (1152) and Ryan Harlow (1151) who finished second and third, respectively. Hicks would take second in the air rifle with a 589, while Harlow was the runner-up in smallbore with a score of 571.

On the women's side of things, Victoria Phillips finished tied for fifth overall with an aggregate score of 1142. Phillips would finish sixth in the smallbore (562) and tied for fifth in the air rifle (580). Emma Cameron had a strong showing for the Keydets, as her 1128 was good for ninth overall.

What's Next
