VMI Wrestling Defeated at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team defeated VMI 32-5 Sunday in Southern Conference action and the regular season finale for both teams.

The Bulldogs won the first two matches before sophomore Freddy Junko got the Keydets on the scoreboard with a 5-1 win at 141 pounds. The Citadel captured the next five bouts but sophomore Tyler Mousaw won his match 12-9 at 197 pounds. Jon Hoover fell just 2-0 at 174, Joel Diaz lost only 6-4 at 184 and Josh Evans dropped a 4-0 decision at 285 pounds.

The SoCon Championships are slated for Saturday, March 5 hosted by Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
