VMI Basketball Travels to NYC to face Fordham Thursday

LEXINGTON, Va. –
The VMI men's basketball team heads to the Bronx in New York City Thursday for its last non-conference game of the season at Fordham University at noon.

The Keydets come into the game playing well and are winners of three of the last four games. VMI fell 69-61 at American University last Tuesday – the Eagles eighth-straight win. Tony Felder, Jr. scored 21 points, hitting 9-of-12 from the floor, and Asher Woods had 14 along with seven rebounds (tying a career high).

About Fordham:
Fordham is 11-1 on the season and boasts a 10-game winning streak, the longest in more than three decades.  The last Fordham team to win 10 straight did so as part of a 14-game streak in January and February of 1991. That team went on to 25 wins and a Patriot League title. 

Darius Quisenberry averages 18.1 points a game, nailing 36-of-80 (45%) from three-point range. Khalid Moore averages 15.5 points and 5.8 rebounds an outing, while Abdou Tsimbila paces the team in rebounds (7.7) and blocks (2.2).  
 
History:
The two teams have never faced off on the hardwood.
