Trey Bonham had a full stat line with 16 points, a career-high eight assists, and five rebounds while Tanner Mans made 4-of-5 from deep and finished with 14 points. Quotes from head coach Dan Earl:
"I thought overall we played really well. The guys shot the ball well which always helps. We moved the ball pretty well and did a good job. Trey Bonham had eight assists and one turnover which was phenomenal. Samford makes it tough for you - they press all game, they'll run and jump and trap the post, and I thought we handled it well. Overall, a lot of guys contributed. Kamdyn Curfman was making some shots and hit some deep ones. He is a tremendous shooter and has a lot of confidence and we give him the green light. He did a good job of breaking the press as well."

"What I like about our team is nobody really cares who gets points or the glory. Jake Stephens only had 10 points tonight but he had eight rebounds and he was passing the ball the entire night. We try to pride ourselves on taking what the game gives you and I thought Jake did a really good job of that."
