LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team will face two Southern Conference opponents this Saturday at the Davidson College (N.C.) tri-meet. The Keydets are scheduled to compete with the University of Tennessee Chattanooga at 11 a.m. and Davidson at 2 p.m.

VMI defeated Davidson 28-15 last season in Cormack Hall. Current Keydets Job Chishko and Will Lawrence won their matches against the Wildcats. Chattanooga beat VMI 29-9 last year, despite Lawrence posting another victory.

Chattanooga is 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the SoCon after wins over The Citadel (17-15) and Gardner-Webb University (23-13) on Sunday. Davison is 1-1/1-1 after splitting a pair of conference matches Sunday with Bellarmine (W, 27-16) and Appalachian State (L, 0-38) Universities. VMI is 1-2 overall and 0-1 in conference action, defeating Sacred Heart 30-9 earlier in the month in a non-conference match before falling 39-0 to Campbell University on Saturday to open SoCon competition.
