#26 Appalachian State Tops VMI Wrestling 43-0
 
BOONE, N.C. – The 26^th-ranked Appalachian State University wrestling team defeated VMI 43-0 Sunday in a Southern Conference match.
 
Keydet red-shirt senior Neal Richards suffered a tight 12-11 loss at 174 pounds to ranked Thomas Flitz. Richards had won 15-straight matches, dating back to January 2. He is now 33-7 on the year.
 
Jon Hoover (165) and Zach Brown (197) each lost by decision.
 
VMI (6-13/3-4 SoCon) returns to Boone, N.C. on Sunday, March 8 for the Southern Conference Championships.
