Neal Richards Wins Sixth-Straight Match at UVA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Red-shirt senior Neal Richards won his sixth-straight match Saturday at the University of Virginia, but the Cavaliers defeated the visiting VMI wrestling team 44-3.

Richards scored a 10-4 decision over Victor Marcelli at 174 points, his 11^th win in his last 13 matches, with one pin, two technical falls and three pins in that span. Max Gallahan (184) and Jon Hoover (165) hung tough against Virginia (7-2), but lost their matches by decision.  

VMI (4-8) hosts the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Sunday at noon in Cormack Hall in a Southern Conference dual match.
