VMI Swimming and Diving Competes at W&L Saturday

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's and women's swimming and diving teams will stay in Lexington for a road meet Saturday, competing at Washington & Lee University at 1 p.m.

The Keydets swam at W&L last January in a tri-meet with W&L and Randolph College, with men's and women's victories over the WildCats but losses to the Generals. VMI set four records during the event.

"It's exciting to get back into competition this weekend after a long break," said Andrew Bretscher, head men's & women's swimming & diving coach. "We have had a productive week of training leading up to this meet, so I'm hoping for good results. Conference is also only a few weeks away, so we should be coming into form over the next few weeks. This weekend will be a good first meet of the semester to gauge ourselves heading into conference."

Both teams will travel to Old Dominion University next Saturday for action at noon.
