Keydets Drop Two at Limestone

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The VMI men's swimming and diving team returned to action Friday night, dropping both ends of a tri-meet to Catawba and Limestone. The Keydets fell 96-25 to Catawba and 104-18 to Limestone.

VMI (2-6) was led by a trio of third-place finishes, including two in individual events. Christian Shaner came home third in the 100 free, timing in at 50.68 seconds, while Marcus Sutter was third in the 100 breast. Sutter touched the wall in 1:04.37. The Keydets' third such result came in the 200 free relay, a 1:31.22 swum by Connor McMahon, Stephen Lloyd, Joe Lincoln and Christian Rowcliffe.

VMI men's swimming and diving is back in action January 26, wrapping up the team's regular season by playing host to Washington and Lee at Clark King Pool. Action is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
