VMI will host the 15th Annual All-Academy Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Cocke Hall.  The action will get underway at 9:30 a.m. as eight military institutions will compete for mat supremacy. 

Competing at the meet will be the wrestling teams from the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, The Citadel, Norwich and VMI.

The action will take place on two mats at VMI's "Thunderdome", located on post at Cocke Hall.  Admission is $10 for adults, while students of all ages will be admitted for free.  Parking for the event is located at the North Institute Hill parking lot, and directions are listed below.

Schedule of Events (Saturday, Feb. 7): 

8:30 a.m.- Doors Open to the Public

9:30 a.m.- Preliminary Round Begins

Noon- Semifinals/First Consolation Round Begins

3 p.m.- Consolation Semifinals Begin

5 p.m.- Finals Begin

Directions to Cocke Hall: 

Traveling north on I-81...
Take exit 188-B (60 West) and proceed to Lexington (a couple of miles). Turn right on Main St (which is one way north at this point). Immediately move into the left lane. After 2 blocks you will be forced to turn left onto Jefferson St (one way south). Immediately move into the right lane and then turn right onto Letcher Avenue. Proceed on Letcher past the Parade Field and Barracks on your left. Turn left after Crozet Hall (Mess Hall) into the North Institute Hill Parking Lot. After parking, proceed straight across Letcher Avenue through the parking lot to the sidewalk adjacent to Cocke Hall. Turn right and go up the stairs to the top level and go left to the front of Cocke Hall.

Traveling south on I-81...
Take exit 195 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp (11 South). Proceed south on 11 to Lexington (about five miles). Follow the signs to downtown Lexington (11 business...Main Street). Main Street will split and become Jefferson Street (one way south). Immediately turn right onto Letcher Avenue. Proceed on Letcher past the Parade Field and Barracks on your left. Turn left after Crozet Hall (Mess Hall) into the North Institute Hill Parking Lot. After parking, proceed straight across Letcher Avenue through the parking lot to the sidewalk adjacent to Cocke Hall. Turn right and go up the stairs to the top level and go left to the front of Cocke Hall.

Traveling east on I-64...
Take exit 55 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp (Route 11 South). Proceed south on Route 11 to Lexington (about two miles).
